Tyler Roslyn Thygesen Tyler Roslyn Thygesen, daughter of Terry and Karen (Hofsess) Thygesen of Milwaukie was born September 10 at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. She weighed 9 Ibs. 15 oz., and arrived at !: 15 p.m. Grandparents include Larry and Laura Jo Hofsess of Coquille, Annette Cadena of Kirkland, Wa. and the late Jerry Thygesen. Great-grandfathers living in the south coast area are Richard Hofsess of Langlois and Phil Laird of Coos Bay. Myah Elizabeth Heuberger Nick and Ryan Heuberger of Monmouth, Oregon had a daughter, Myah Elizabeth, 8 Ibs, and 18 i/2 inches born on September 1, 2000. Rozella Mary Roberts A funeral for Rozella Mary Roberts, 92, was held on Friday at the First Assembly of God in Coquille. Internment followed at Myrtle Crest Memorial Park. She died on September 12 in North Bend. She was born on November 4, 1907 in Ella, Missouri to James H. and Adaline (Clark) Owen. She married Rasho Roberts in 1926 in Oklah0tnal They had eight children. The family lived in Yakima, Wash. in the early 1950's, where Rozella worked in the Del Monte fruit cannery for 20 years. After her husband passed away in 1987, she moved to Coquille, making her home next to her eldest daughter until moving to Nancy's Care Home in North Bend. She loved to play table games of all kinds and she was very sharp at them. She was a lover of music and enjoyed sewing, quilt- ing, crocheting and other home- crafts. She was a person who never complained about life's ups and downs; and she loved the Lord and her church. Survivors include daughters Avanelle Johnson of Coquille, Emma Lou Bailey of Coquille, Olla Bell Plew of Coquille, Sharon Bailey of Morris, Okla., Juanita Schmoe of Yakima, Wash., Birtie Sires of Yakima, Wash.; son Hershel Roberts of Coqiile, sister Inez Lane of Livermore, Calif., 23 grandchil- dren, 44 great-grandchildren and nine great, great-grandchil- dren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Robert Ollin Daniel E. "Mike" Gardner Schneider A memorial service was Daniel E. He died September 13, 2000 at Myrtle Point in a heavy equipment accident. He attended .Bandon High School but left early to join the Navy and trained to fight as a Turret Gunner on a TBM Torpedo Bomber during WWII. He mar- ried Harriett Johnson of Bandon on July 18, 1948 at Bandon. He lived in various locations to pursue his passion for the out- doors as a logger. He and his brother Jack started Northwest Access in 1970 and built log- ging roads in Oregon and Washington. Mike sold his share in 1980 and did independent cat work for some local companies. He had been a member of the Coquille Elks Lodge and the Oakridge Moose Lodge. He was an avid horseman and fisherman and enjoyed being frustrated by his Oregon Duck sports teams. He enjoyed wintering in Yuma with many friends and sharing many "happy hours." His hobby was cutting firewood and he enjoyed making gifts for his kids and friends in his shop. He is survived by his wife Harriett of Oakridge; brother Jack Gardner of Eugene; sister Dixie BIoice of Migalia, CA; five children and their spouses: Jody and Charlie Yates and Wesa and Steve Liles of Fairview, Bob and Terri Gardner and Niki and Luis Gomez of Oakridge, and Joy and Jerry Hoffman of Independence. Mike was the proud grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 4. The family is encouraging donations in his memory to The Oakridge Mat Club c/o Metro Credit Union, PO Box 744 Susie Jane Ledford A memorial service for Susie Jane Ledford, 98, of Myrtle Point, was held on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the First Methodist Church in Myrtle Point. Cremation was held at Myrtle Crest Crematory in Coquille. She was born January 2, 1902 in Thompson, Arkansas and died September ! i, 2000 in Myrtle Point. She spent most of her life in Arkansas. She moved to Oregon in 1972 and lived'her daughter about 20 years. She loved to read, watch television, piece quilt tops and crochet. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Geraldine and Smoke Wylie of Myrtle Point sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and LaRose Ledford, of Walla Walla, Washington; Jay and Mary Ledford of Duluth, Minnesota; Bill and Caryn Ledford of Eugene, Oregon; Cliff and Peggy Ledford of Richland, Washington; and 13 grandchil- dren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Ledford and son Dwight Ledford. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of your choice. Inurnment will be at Mt.
